Aotearoa Is Not For Sale – Defend our Health Services – Public Meeting 7pm Thursday

David Seymour claims that New Zealanders needs to “get past their squeamishness about privatisation” and ask themselves:

“If we want to be a first-world country, then are we making the best use of the government’s half a trillion dollars-plus worth of assets? If something isn’t getting a return, the government should sell it so we can afford to buy something that does.” *

They want to put Profit before People and privatize our public Health Service, bringing in an American style system where working people struggle to afford operations and medicine, and the rich get the best of medical attention and equipment. This will result in more death and suffering of the poor.

A coalition of unions, communities and parties now draw a red line in the sand and say enough is enough. Aotearoa is not for Sale- defend our Health Service.

Join us this Thursday 7pm at Unite Union to plan for people power like we saw on the streets of Dunedin.

Speakers-

Anne Daniels, President NZNO (zoom)
Sarah Barker, Doctors Union
Sam Burnside Woods, Unions Auckland
Bianca Ranson, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahu
Danni Wilkinson, rank and file nurse, midwife, activist.
