7 PM Thursday 20th June Movie Night Fundraiser for Migrant Workers Association

The Wind That Shakes The Barley starring Cillian Murphy is a great movie, a fast-moving account of Ireland’s war of independence against Britain and of the civil war that marked the first year of nationalist Ireland’s self-government.

To try and raise funds for the Migrant Workers Association in their struggle against employers who have taken exception to their exploitation being described as “slave visas” , we are asking for koha to go towards this worthy cause.

In addition, we will be seeing off our good comrade Joe Carolan as he heads back to the Emerald Isle for a month.
